Brecht and Benjamin

Despite their differences, Walter Benjamin and Bertolt Brecht developed a close friendship. Even when they both fled Germany because of the Nazis in 1933, they stayed in contact. The two books, written in exile, are therefore linked by a ribbon. Colored pages with tribute poems that Brecht wrote after Benjamin's suicide, and analyses of Brecht's poems by Benjamin, are loosely inserted into each other's books.
